Publication of the Information Note on the Mineral Fertiliser Market

MED-Amin publishes its Information Note No. 1, focusing on the Mineral Fertiliser Market in the Mediterranean region. This report is the result of collaboration with several international experts, notably from AMIS and FAO, and has benefited from contributions from the network’s Focal Points.

In line with previous Policy Briefs, this publication provides an overview of the key characteristics of the fertilizer market, supported by data on consumption, production and trade flows across MED-AMIN member countries. It also highlights the main risks and key factors to monitor, with a view to better anticipating market developments and strengthening early warning mechanisms. Finally, a dedicated section examines the specific features of domestic markets and national policies, with a particular focus on North African countries, where the public sector plays a significant role.
